I've been home sick the past two days; and when I mean sick, I mean when I had pneumonia this summer I felt better.
I woke up around 03:30 Monday morning to go to the bathroom and felt fine, but then had a dream that my stomach wasn't feeling good, and woke up at 04:00 and noticed it was real. Things quickly went downhill from there; I was cycling between intense nausea and severe pain in my right side, and eventually vommiting. Tiff woke up and heard me in the bathroom, and eventually called my mother after being up for about an hour and a half (she just had her gall bladder out last week, too). My mother came over and we all went into the ER.
Now, I've never been sick enough to goto the ER; I had to have stitches once, but that was easy. This time they gave me morphine and something for the nausea (which helped), and I was laying down for about 4 hours except when they wanted me to get up to get X-Rays or a CAT scan, and trying to sleep the rest of the time on a very uncomfortable bed. Lets just say I don't want to visit the ER anytime soon.
Looks like I just had a really bad case of the flu; but I was pretty much out the rest of Monday; I was up and around Tuesday a bit (other than going to the bathroom every 30-60 minutes), and today I've actually been able to eat.
I don't know where I got it from, and I feel very bad that everyone around me caught some form of it; both my wife and mom got the lesser form, but my dad got the full blown thing like me. Quite nasty; I appologize in advance if I still drag it with me tomorrow to work :(
