Blogging it Up

Lots of news since the last blog; would make you think I'd blog more often, right?

Tiff is having surgery on Thursday to have her lipoma on her back removed. She actually had to have this done before; almost two years ago, about a week before our wedding. It's going to be a pain (literally) if they keep coming back.

And speaking of weddings, [Dennis]' is coming up in two weeks. Instead of the typical bachelor's party that involves lots of drinking and nuidty, we're going to have a more laid-back party. It will probably still involve drinking, but probably in a little more moderation while we're having a cookout at my place. After that we're planning on going bowling - which should be a blast if some of us are even slightly drunk ;-).

[Dennis] also ran into a bit of a stumbling block getting a DJ, so we think we're going to take care of that ourselves. He recently got a plethora of hardware from Dell, so he's going to put some of it to use to push some tunes out. He's going to pick up a mixing board and speakers and probably just use a regular home audio-receiver for driving the speakers (update: he bought a mixer/amp combo to use instead of a home theater receiver). He already has a really good mic and I should be able to provide enough music for him to use. I think it will work out pretty well.

I've been playing quite a bit of KotOR 2 (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, The Sith Lords) recently as well. I probably have around 15 hours in it, and I've only been playing it since the beginning of last week. It's setup as an Action RPG with some D&D-esque character development. The storyline so far has been pretty good with not a lot of slow parts. My only complaint so far has been how linear it's been, but the storyline helps move things along. I would recommend picking it up for PC or Xbox if you can.

Lastly, I plan on selling my 1985 Honda Shadow VT-500c motorcycle pretty soon. It's in very good condition with only a little over 20k miles on it. I'm going to ask around \$800 for it, so if you know anyone that's interested feel free to give them my contact info.
