jrishel: @silfreed check out wood fiber erosion control matting. staked down it would last through winter and you could then seed overtop of it.

Hum4n: @silfreed With the gulf oil spill in decline, you could probably buy some cheap boom to surround the yard and keep in the soil.

Hum4n: @silfreed Grass is already dormant. I'm no botanist, but I think seeding now would be futile.

Hum4n: @silfreed Prepare for containment of the erosion. Don't think you'll stop it, but you can keep it from leaving the yard.

jrishel: @silfreed I doubt you'll get grass to grow anymore this fall, I think hydroseeding might be a waste of time and money this late.

jrishel: @silfreed Or, crazy but possible idea: wet the ground so it freezes really well, hope for a hot and dry spring.
